Intro
CALC PRO is Mold Solutions’ online cost calculator for injection molded parts. The application reads a STEP file and determines the part’s dimensions, volume, and projected area. These geometry values form the basis for the following calculations: cycle time, clamping force, machine selection, packaging, and cost per part. All results can be downloaded as an Excel cost report. No CAD software is required.
How It Works
Upload your STEP file
After upload, CALC PRO displays the part in a 3D viewer; dimensions, volume, and projected area appear immediately below. Select the material type and grade from the materials database, and enter the wall thickness and number of cavities.
Calculate cycle time, machine, and packaging
The cycle time calculation determines injection and cooling time and monitors the maximum shear rate of the selected material. Machine selection checks your machine fleet against clamping force, shot volume, tie-bar spacing, and mounting height, and proposes the smallest suitable machine. The packaging module nests the part into the boxes from your own packaging list.
Build the cost breakdown and download the report
After entering the cost parameters (material price, machine hourly rate, labor rate, setup hours, annual volume), you get the full cost breakdown per part. Up to four mold cavitations can be compared side by side. The Excel report bundles all calculations.

Data Policy
Product models are confidential. CALC PRO therefore never stores the STEP file: it is only read briefly to calculate the geometry and deleted immediately afterward. The 3D view and the cost report exist only for the duration of the session and are cleared when the part is closed, when you log out, and when the browser is closed. Calculation input is never stored.

Access and Use
Access is granted on request; the account is activated after review. Usage is billed per calculation (tokens). There is no subscription..
